[Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy] Almabtrieb/Alpabzug (cattle drive)
mountaingrinder
Right now the tradition of Almabtrieb, which could be translated as cattle drive, is happening in Austrian mountain regions. What does this mean?
The farmers that had their cows in the mountains for the summer are getting them down to the stables in the town again. Often it is a big event where they actually make floral/herbal arrangements for the cows to wear when they go down and re-enter the town to stay there for the winter.
Could be a nice stamp for this traditional yearly event.

At the end of summer the cows that have spent the summer faraway from the towns upon the mountains move back into the valleys. If no animal died, this is often celebrated with green and floral or other decorations around the necks of lots of the animals. This happens specially in the Alps (in Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Italy (maybe also in France but I never heard about that) ) and the south of Germany.
A cow walking down with decoration around her neck would be great! Or otherwise a decorated cow from the front.
This is Wikipedia entry, but it is in German:
Okay this one is in English:

Sorry, I just saw, that someone else already has had this idea, before I posted mine a few days ago. I just havn't seen it yet. So I decided to connect my post to the other one (because the other person already has more support).
