I’d love to suggest a unique Hungarian natural wonder for a new stamp: the Tisza Bloom, also known as the mayfly swarming on the River Tisza.
Each June, for a few magical days, millions of long-tailed mayflies (called “Tiszavirág” in Hungarian) emerge from the river and fill the skies during their brief adult life, which lasts only a few hours. This incredible phenomenon is unique to the Tisza River and represents both the beauty and fragility of nature.
The sight of countless delicate insects flying at sunset over the river is breathtaking and deeply symbolic for Hungarians, often associated with renewal and the passing nature of life.
This would be a beautiful way to introduce Slowly users to a lesser-known but extraordinary part of Hungarian natural heritage.
