[Germany] Great German thinkers and poets
Breadly
Germany has a rich cultural heritage that would make for a great stamp set. Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Goethe, Hesse - to name just a few - would all deserve a stamp. Also because their influence in the world is far bigger than that of the fairly poor German cuisine that currently represents Germany on Slowly.
Similar ideas have already been implemented, see the Greek and Austrian sets.
Here's a list of candiates that would be great to see in stamps:
- Immanuel Kant (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immanuel_Kant)
- Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Wilhelm_Friedrich_Hegel)
- Arthur Schopenhauer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Schopenhauer)
- Friedrich Nietzsche (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Nietzsche)
- Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Wilhelm_Leibniz)
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Wolfgang_von_Goethe)
- Hermann Hesse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Hesse)
- Hannah Arendt (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hannah_Arendt)
Slightly more controversial candidates would include Karl Marx (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Marx) and Martin Heidegger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Heidegger).
Please feel free to add more or discuss my suggestions!

For now, we will only issue stamps for specific public figures: 1. with international days or commemorative days designated by the United Nations or other international organizations (global release); 2. with commemorative days or public holidays designated by the local government or credible organizations (regional release).

Ludwig Wittgenstein would be cool too!! I'm sure Friedrich Schiller, Joseph von Eichendorff and Heinrich Heine are nice ideas, too. Another random idea is "German componists" such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, or Felix Mendelssohn.

Albert Einstein should definitely be a part! He wasn't only a scientist, he was a philosopher as well!

I like the idea, the only risk I see here is that all of the stamps will look identical like the Greek set. Otherwise I am all for it, thanks for suggesting it! :)
